Under her Croatian family name Radmilovic, Kate began her career in opera and operetta following a training at the Royal Northern College of Music where she trained as a Mezzo soprano before moving into the Soprano repertoire in 1994, and after winning "Best Singer of the Year"  Elizabeth Harwood Award , alongside a Peter Moores Scholarship, Kate went onto study at the International Opera Studio.  In 1996 to 2004 was engaged by the Osnabrück and St Gallen Opera Houses as a leading lyric soprano. She guested at Eutiner and Obberammergau Sommer Festspiele with the role of Königin der Nacht.  She guested at Weimer, Heidelberg, Dortmund and Hildeshiem and in 2006 played the role of Lady Billows at the Darmstadt Opera House.    She won the Public performance Prize at the Robert Stolz Operetta competition in Hamburg, in 2002 and Second place in the Vissi D'arte Opera competition.  Kate also has a versatile career in crossover opera including playing the role of  Dinah in Bernsteins Trouble in Tahiti at Pariserhof Wiesbaden, Christine in "Traviata in 7 Mins"  (by Fransika Severin for the  Studio St Gallen for Swiss TV and in 2008/9 she returned to the UK to be part of the Longborough opera Festival critically acclaimed Ring Cycle as Freia in Das Rheingold, before going into the West End to play the iconic opera diva Carlotta in "Phantom of the opera" at Her Majesty's Theatre, London for Sir Cameron Mackintosh's Really Useful Group.  Continuing into crossover musical theatre, she played the lead role of Mrs Zero in the contemporary opera/musical "Adding Machine" by Joshua Schmidt 2016 and was nominated Best Actress by Broadway World.  2018 she was part of the national Tour of "Crazy for You" as Lottie Child for  Jamie Wilson productions in the crucially acclaimed Actor Museo production where she played the Saxophone and Xylophone! In 2018/2019 she was the First Female to portray the iconic role of the Wizard in the Wizard of Oz for Selladoor Worldwide productions at the Blackpool Winter Gardens.  Late 2020 Kate is to  record the lead role of Mirele in Giles Howe and Katy Lipsons "Soviet Zion' Concept Album - a new contemporary Opera with Stage Kindly Productions.
